Nevada is facing a growing homelessness crisis, and supportive housing is a proven, cost-effective solution for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, especially those living with disabilities.
A CSH national needs assessment estimates Nevada requires nearly 7,000 supportive housing units to meet the current need. Investments in supportive housing provide stable housing but also reduce reliance on emergency rooms, shelters, and jails—lowering long-term public costs.
CSH worked alongside Assemblywoman Monroe-Moreno, the Nevada Housing Coalition, and partners across the state to advocate for the Supportive Housing Development Account.
This funding will expand supportive housing and move Nevada toward solutions that are proven to work.
Timeline of Advocacy Wins
- In 2023, the Nevada passed AB310, which allocated $32 million to launch the Supportive Housing Development Fund.
- In 2025, we celebrated the passage of AB366, a landmark bipartisan bill that permanently established the Nevada Supportive Housing Development Account within the state budget.
