Governor Lincoln Chafee extended the MOA that continues an unprecedented collaboration that brings together government, philanthropy (Rhode Island Foundation, the United Way of Rhode Island and RI Housing) and the nonprofit sector to end homelessness in Rhode Island. The MOA, one of the first in the country, brings expert nonprofit staffing fromCSH to the Council.
At the July 19 Interagency Council on Homelessness’ quarterly meeting, the Council received the Year in Review and Plans for Implementation of Opening Doors Rhode Island, the State’s Plan to End Homelessness. Director Craig Stenning from the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals was named the Chair of the Opening Doors Rhode Island Implementation Work Group.
