Returning Home Ohio

On any given day, there are a little over 50,000 individuals in Ohio’s prisons; and each year, approximately 25,000 are released back to the community with a small percentage of them having nowhere to go. In 2006, CSH and ODRC began collaborating to develop a supportive housing program and the evaluation results are in.

Supportive Housing Institute: Opening New Doors

Applications are now available for the 2012 Opening New Doors institute, a comprehensive project development and capacity building initiative for supportive housing providers in Ohio. The institute is available to new and experienced supportive housing development teams and applications are due by April 20, 2012.

Sunshine Terrace

CSH provided technical assistance to the sponsors of Sunshine Terrace, Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority and the YMCA of Central Ohio. Sunshine Terrace went from being a 180-unit public housing high-rise, to supportive housing for chronically homeless men and very low-income individuals in Columbus.
