CSH seeks proposals to select a group of up to eight capacity building micro grant recipients who together will form a cohort of emerging developers for the Los Angeles Emerging Developer Learning Lab. The Los Angeles Emerging Developer Learning Lab (LA-EDLL) is designed to encourage the participation of housing organizations and up-and-coming developers in the housing and homelessness sector. The LA-EDLL will provide participants with access to low-cost loans, needs assessment consulting, and technical assistance to build their capacity, internal infrastructure, resources, and sustainability to increase the supply of supportive housing in Los Angeles County.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have at least one housing development project; meeting one of the criteria below:
- New affordable housing construction or rehabilitation rental housing development in operations, or
- New affordable housing construction or rehabilitation rental housing development in the project concept phase, pre-development phase or under construction, or
- Supportive Housing rental development (either new construction or rehabilitation) in the planning phase.
AND
- Applicants must meet the criteria of an emerging developer, defined as a developer that has not completed a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) project on their own.
For a development to be considered supportive housing at least 10% or total units, but no less than 5 units are designated permanent supportive housing (PSH).
