Improving Vaccine and Healthcare Access Among Residents of Supportive Housing: Lessons Learned From COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an outsized impact on people experiencing homelessness, residents of supportive housing, patients of health centers, and people living with chronic conditions and disabilities. With the advent of the vaccine, numerous studies have sought to understand the calculus of people to take or refrain from taking the vaccine.

This product compiled many of those studies, provides highlights, connections to focus groups of residents and providers of supportive housing and their experiences, and some recommendations for housing providers and health centers to support and inform people to have agency in their own health and medical decisions.
