ABOUT THE CA NEEDS ASSESSMENT

With support from the Hilton Foundation, CSH will work with stakeholders, including a wide range of community organizations, government agencies, and individuals with lived experience, to assess the need for affordable, supportive, and interim housing for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The statewide analysis will determine how much housing, services, and interim interventions the state needs along with a financial model of what it would cost to solve homelessness in California. People with lived experience will be essential partners for the project and will be involved in planning, data interpretation and analysis, and developing recommendations.

ABOUT THE CA NEEDS ASSESSMENT FILM PROJECT

The goal of this project is to amplify the voices of people with lived experiences of homelessness to convey the impact of obtaining permanent housing and convey and sense of urgency for action.

  • Final products will include compiled videos of each individual (2-5 minutes each) along with shorter clips (30 seconds each) for social media and all b-roll footage.
