Associate Program Manager, Connecticut

This position is based in Connecticut and will be part of our Hartford-based team.  All CSH staff are working virtually until our offices open post-pandemic. Post-pandemic this position will be offered a hybrid at home / at office option based out of our Hartford, CT headquarters.  

What you will do:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to various projects within the Connecticut team portfolio.
  • Coordinate and support monthly workshops including scheduling trainers, agenda development, and participant reminders.
  • Lead logistical coordination of training and technical assistance work.  Support staff in utilizing webinars and online technologies as requested including but not limited to creating surveys, hosting webinars, online training and social media support.
  • Maintain streamlined systems and ensure consistent collection of data for projects and trainings including tracking attendance, budgets, stipends, speaking, and leadership activities.
  • Manage time and deliverables to budget; be a conscientious steward of CSH resources.
  • Ability to establish and maintain high-quality relationships with varied stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, including basic business writing skills, ability to facilitate and train, be an active listener, with possible need to represent CSH externally and internally.
  • Support the Director in grant and contract management and reporting.
  • Participate on and contribute to project teams as assigned. Tasks may include the coordination of and participation in technical assistance site visits, drafting reports, reviewing policy guidance, training design, development, delivery, and evaluation.

Specifically, we are seeking:

  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize, with active attention to detail and focus.
  • High school degree or equivalent, or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.  This includes lived experience of homelessness, housing instability, participation in housing programs, etc. and professional and/or volunteer experience in the homelessness field.
  • Direct service or volunteer experience with vulnerable populations and working knowledge of a client-centered approach is preferred. Experience or knowledge of healthcare, data analysis, or housing development a plus. 
  • An understanding of the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively connect with diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socially diverse communities.
  • Commitment to advance and realize CSH’s vision and further enhance the organization’s reputation in the communities that it serves.
  • Ability to work well independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment, and work cooperatively to meet internal and external requests.
  • Willing and able to travel when pandemic restrictions are lifted. Travel schedule will vary based on assignments.

Compensation:

CSH offers generous benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and competitive salaries based on geographic location. Our Associate Project Manager range in Connecticut, a mid-market location, is $48,000 - $63,500. Our ranges are broad and it is customary for candidates to join CSH at the lower half of the range to leave room for growth, learning, and development in the role and range. It is uncommon for salaries to fall above the mid-point at the time of hire. We negotiate actual salaries with final candidates based on their exact location, experience in similar roles and expertise related to the qualifications.
