New Supportive Housing for Seniors Coming Soon to San Diego!

CSH is excited to be a part of  a much needed affordable, supportive housing development in San Diego, aimed at providing housing stability for our older adults who are experiencing homelessness. San Ysidro Seniors Village is a  supportive housing residential development currently under construction in San Diego and includes 51 rental homes affordable to low and very-low income seniors experiencing homelessness. It is anticipated that lease up will begin in February, and move in Spring 2020.

CSH will be assisting in the coordination of lease-up and providing technical assistance to ensure ongoing program compliance under the San Diego Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Housing Program. The development will have project-based Section 8 rental assistance provided through the San Diego Housing Commission and four service providers to assist in helping the residents remain successfully housed. All new tenants must be referred through the Regional Task Force on the Homeless Coordinated Entry System and meet the federal and state definition of chronically homeless or literally homeless and deemed highly vulnerable.

Project partners include National CORE and Hope through Housing, Community Research Foundation, San Ysidro Health Center, San Diego PACE, Father Joe’s Villages and Casa Familiar.

We can't wait to celebrate the opening of San Ysidro and be a part of welcoming the new residents home!
