CSH is seeking an enthusiastic, results-oriented individual who has a passion for the CSH mission and possesses the skills necessary to advance our work. You should have project management skills with the ability to incorporate the perspectives of multiple communities, including communities of color, in the pursuit of CSH’s goals and strategies and in the provision of technical assistance. You will focus on furthering supportive housing models for high need individuals and families by engaging public and private sector partners while implementing data-driven solutions to meet the needs of new populations and jurisdictions.
Where you will work:
The New England hub has evolved from focusing on Connecticut to covering all of CT, MA, ME, NH, RI and VT. This territory requires multiple approaches to systems change and supportive housing development to include strategies in urban cities, suburban areas, towns, and vast rural areas. This position will be based in CSH’s Hartford, CT office.
What you will do:
- Serve as project manager on one or more projects, including coordination of internal and external project teams, monitoring of project quality, and internal and external reporting. CSH expects project managers to foster a work environment based on quality teamwork, mutual accountability, and high quality performance;
- Provide technical assistance/training/consulting services to diverse stakeholders including government. This work may include data analysis, financial modeling, program analysis, and consideration of the impacts of this analysis on multiple communities, including communities of color;
- Cultivate relationships and work with cross systems partners (community development, criminal justice, child welfare, health) to conduct state and county level supportive housing needs assessment, including working with key stake holders to collect and analyze cross systems data and develop recommendations based on needs assessment;
- Assist the New England Director in business development efforts to expand supportive housing across New England, including scoping proposals and developing new relationships in new areas and with new partners;
- Assist the New England Director with developing strategies to expanding supportive housing within community planning and development efforts, including participating in local community development planning processes; identifying opportunities to incorporate supportive housing into these processes and plans;
- Prepare timely reports for internal management and funders including successful administration and monitoring of consultant agreements; and
- Perform any other duties or special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

- 3+ years of expertise working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds in and experience in at least one of the following policy arenas and systems: child welfare, family court, health and behavioral health; supportive housing, knowledge of affordable housing and community development is highly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, relevant experience may substitute for education.
- Previous project management experience with demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage project budgets and deadlines.
- Strong data analysis, analytical, interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically and socially diverse communities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and simply and flex style to multiple cultural environments, coupled with a strong creative sensibility and ability to think critically and strategically.
- Demonstrated experience at managing multiple assignments effectively.
- Ability to take initiative and pursue goals with moderate supervision.
- Excellent computer skills including extensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access; skills in Adobe suite preferred.
