DASH for the Data

CSH has been selected by Data Across Sectors for Health (DASH), a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to serve as one of six “Mentors” that are helping local collaborations advance their efforts to share and use multi-sector data to improve community health. DASH Mentors will create opportunities that foster learning and implementation through the All In: Data for Community Health network, focusing on a particular topic area related to multi-sector data sharing.

As a DASH Mentor, CSH will lead a small peer-to-peer learning group of “Mentees” that share a common interest in implementing an open source data tool that supports integration of homeless services, jail and other related datasets. Over the course of 10 months, Mentees will receive up to $5,000 each to enhance their Coordinated Entry System and better address individual health and social service needs. Mentees will be supported by CSH in adopting the tool through support of the data sharing agreement process, use case development, and strategic planning.

We hope that our participation in the DASH Mentor Program can help us spread the impact of our innovations beyond our community by sharing lessons and promising practices we’ve developed through years of hands-on experience. CSH is excited to make meaningful connections with communities across the country to accelerate learning and make significant progress towards aligning multi-sector partners around data-driven approaches that promote health equity.
