WHAT:
The first-in-the-nation Pay for Success initiative to reduce chronic individual homelessness has

supportive housing, with 92% remaining housed after one year.

On Tuesday, February 13 at Pine Street Inn in Boston, the leaders of the Massachusetts Alliance
for Supportive Housing (Massachusetts Housing & Shelter Alliance, Corporation for Supportive
Housing, Santander Bank and United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley) will be
recognizing the significant impact of this Massachusetts Pay for Success initiative, including how
supportive housing strategies are addressing chronic homelessness across Massachusetts, as well as
the benefits of the partnership in terms of impact and cost savings.

social innovation financing model that so far has saved Massachusetts an estimated $2.2 million in
shelter, emergency room and in-patient hospitalization care costs.
