PUSH-CR in New Video

Partners United for Supportive Housing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (PUSH-CR) -- one of five demonstration sites in the federal initiative testing an intensive supportive housing model serving families that come to the attention of the child welfare system because of problems with chronic or recurring homelessness and other serious, persistent issues -- is featured in a video recently released by the US Children's Bureau and Office of Child Abuse and Neglect (OCAN). The new video -- Building Community, Building Hope -- looks at a series of actions that have been undertaken to prevent and respond to child maltreatment. PUSH-CR and the other four sites in the federal initiative (H.E.A.R.T., Broward County, FL; Memphis Strong Families Initiative, Memphis, TN; Families Moving Forward, San Francisco, CA; and Intensive Supportive Housing for Families, CT) receive expert guidance from the Child Welfare and Supportive Housing Resource Center. Watch the Building Community, Building Hope video and visit the National Child Abuse and Neglect Technical Assistance and Strategic Dissemination Center (CANTASD) website for access to a discussion guide, FAQs, and more background on the series.
