CSH Joins Lenders Coalition for Community Health Centers

CSH recently joined the Lenders Coalition for Community Health Centers (LCCHC), a national group of community development financial institutions (CDFIs) dedicated to advocating for policies and resources that will strengthen the access health centers have to capital and the ability of CDFIs to finance community health centers. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has expanded the demand for community health centers and created an opportunity for supportive housing developers to incorporate them into their projects.

To date, CSH has invested in two New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) projects that combine supportive housing with Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers (FQHC). CSH staff from our Community Investment and Government Affairs and Innovations teams are working together to help the Coalition formulate policy proposals that will make it easier for CDFIs to finance community health centers and expand healthcare access for the most vulnerable populations.
