New Resource for Counties Published by NACo and CSH

The National Association of Counties (NACo) and CSH have just released a publication, Supportive Housing for Justice-Involved Frequent Users of County Public Systems. Using CSH's FUSE Blueprint as a framework, the new issue brief is meant to serve as a guide for county officials in addressing the housing needs of "frequent users" who cycle through the costly county public systems of jail, hospitals, treatment, courts, and shelters. By providing a home coupled with the individually tailored wrap around services of supportive housing, vulnerable individuals can reduce and/or end their cyclical use of crisis services.  This issue brief is one outcome of a two-year long partnership between NACo and CSH that has assisted counties in their efforts to design, develop, launch and strengthen new and existing supportive housing initiatives for frequent users.
