In collaboration with the Los Angeles Regional Reentry Partnership (LARRP), CSH conducted a Charrette last week to help create a housing plan for populations leaving the criminal justice system and returning to communities.
Over 121 community members participated in the Charrette, including the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, over a dozen service providers, Probation, advocacy groups, people with lived experience, the LA County CEO’s office, the LA County Department of Health Services, and many more. Special guests included Glenn Martin from the Fortune Society in NYC and Jocelyn Fontaine from the Urban Institute in DC.
From the Charrette, a strategic plan was created to address the housing needs of formerly incarcerated Angelenos. This plan will be formerly adopted by the LARRP Steering Committee on July 11th.
