CSH’s Alison Recca-Ryan Appointed to NJ Interagency Council

CSH Director Alison Recca-Ryan is among the 15 appointees for New Jersey’s Interagency Council on Homelessness. Governor Chris Christie created the Council earlier this year to address the needs of some of the most vulnerable New Jerseyans as part of the State’s long-term strategy to prevent and end homelessness.

“It’s an honor to join our State’s Interagency Council,” said Recca-Ryan. “After many years working to bring supportive housing solutions to the most vulnerable New Jerseyans, I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with the Administration developing real solutions to moving people off the streets and out of shelters into permanent housing."

Recca-Ryan has led CSH’s work in New Jersey for the past five years.  Over her 13-year tenure CSH, she has implemented new opportunities for the creation of supportive housing, established the Newark50 – an initiative to house the 50 most vulnerable homeless individuals in Newark, and worked with numerous NJ municipalities on addressing the housing needs of the homeless.
