CSH, with support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and the W.M. Keck Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of funding to support the creation of, access to, and stability in permanent supportive housing (PSH) for transition age youth (TAY) in Los Angeles County.
Through the Stable Homes, Brighter Futures Initiative, a total of $600,000 is available to fund 3 – 5 projects in high need communities throughout L.A. County. Funding is meant to be flexible and may be utilized to fund supportive services, move-in costs, operating costs, and other activities that increase access and stability of permanent supportive housing for transition age youth. Project proposals may range from $25,000 – $200,000 over a grant period of one, two, or three years, depending on the project.
CSH is seeking proposals from nonprofit housing developers and service providers that intend to develop neighborhood networks of support to sustain and expand permanent supportive housing for TAY. Therefore, organizations are encouraged to apply as a team. To qualify for this RFP, organizations must have permanent supportive housing units for TAY currently in operation or have TAY PSH units becoming operational in 2012.
Projects placing an emphasis on serving chronically homeless TAY are encouraged to apply for additional funding opportunities with the Home for Good Countywide RFP. For information regarding this unique funding opportunity, visit Home for Good.
Thank you to everyone who submitted an application on the April 20, 2012 due date.
Grantees will be notified on June 20, 2012.
