Texas Conference on Ending Homelessness

On October 12-14, 2011, The Texas Conference on Ending Homelessness, Presented by Texas Homeless Network, Region 10 Education Service Center and Texas Homeless Education Office, provided a forum for homeless service providers, educators, community leaders and government officials to network and gain information on how to better serve the homeless population in their community.

CSH presented a Homeless Systems Simulation Game, Converting your Transitional Housing to Permanent Supportive Housing, which included legal and financial considerations, and identifying frequent users of PSH.

Dianna Grey, Director in Texas, received the Kathy Reid Award which recognizes a person whose body of work has substantially impacted the issues around homelessness on a local, state, and national level.  Congratulations, Dianna!

Finally, CSH hosted a reception at THN in honor of its 20 year celebration!  We had the honor of Katrina Van Valkenburgh who came from our Chicago office and spoke about the exciting work CSH is doing nationally and here in Texas.
