On Friday, December 2, 2011 CSH and the Supportive Housing Association of New Jersey (SHA) hosted the 13th Annual New Jersey Supportive Housing Conference at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ. Approximately 325 attended the day-long conference representing all areas of the supportive housing field from case managers to no-profit administrators, state and local governments and developers.
Attendees were offered workshops in a broad range of supportive housing topics including direct services, development, innovations and special populations. The Keynote Speaker for the Conference was CSH Board of Directors member, Pete Earley, author of “CRAZY: A Father’s Search Through America’s Mental Health Madness.” Mr. Earley spoke of his personal and work experience with the mental health system.
