Supportive Housing for Frequent Users of Public Systems:
CSH’s FUSE Initiative Saves Public Money and Improves Lives
Webinar attendees will learn how to implement a FUSE initiative using a systemic approach, including how to use data to target deeply for maximum budgetary impact, assembling a cross-system stakeholder group, and engaging quality housing providers to provide the services that stabilize frequent users.
The webinar included speakers from Mecklenburg County’s new MeckFUSE initiative as well as the State of Connecticut’s long-running FUSE program. Stakeholders from the corrections, housing, homeless, behavioral health, hospital, and crisis health services are encouraged to view this webinar.

Efforts to Increase the Housing Choice Voucher Program (April 24, 2014)
CSH hosted a webinar to discuss a national effort to increase funding for the Housing Choice Voucher program. The Housing Choice Voucher program (HCV) is the largest rental assistance program that helps extremely-low and low-income households gain access to safe, affordable housing. Vouchers enable families to access private housing that fit their needs and allows Public Housing Authorities to create supportive housing units targeting vulnerable populations in the local community.
This panelists discussed the impact of current and future funding levels on supportive housing development and efforts being taken to increase funding for the HCV program and provided examples of supportive housing projects currently using vouchers.
SAMHSA Homelessness Grants Opportunities Webinar
CSH hosted a webinar with staff from SAMHSA to discuss two recently released SAMHSA grant opportunities targeted to ending chronic homelessness and increasing the capacity of supportive housing services providers.
