Secretary Shinseki Announces Recipients of the SSVF Grant

We are pleased to announce that Community Action of Northeast Indiana was awarded $353,000 as part of the VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families grant.

The application submission from the Community Action of Northeast Indiana was a direct result of  next steps that were outlined at the VA Summit hosted by VISN 11 and coordinated by the VA and CSH. The summit took place in November and aligned VA and local homeless service systems to end homelessness for hoosiers and involved staff from the VA, housing authorities, government officials, funders and providers.

Community Action of Northeast Indiana plans to serve approximately 135 participant households in the Northeast Indiana counties of Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, DeKalb, Delaware, Elkhart, Grant, Henry, Howard, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Madison, Miami, Noble, Randolph, St. Joseph, Steuben, Tipton, Wabash, Wells and Whitley.Community Action of Northeast Indiana plans to serve approximately 135 participant households in the Northeast Indiana counties of Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, DeKalb, Delaware, Elkhart, Grant, Henry, Howard, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Madison, Miami, Noble, Randolph, St. Joseph, Steuben, Tipton, Wabash, Wells and Whitley.

United Way of Central Indiana, Inc. plans to serve approximately 200 participant households in the Indiana Counties of Marion, Boone, Hancock, Hendricks, Hamilton, and Morgan.
